Can anyone figure how they might have made the new Kylie Minogue video?

So many Kylies!

They had a camera rigged up on a huge crane that had its movements programmed in on a computer...then they just filmed each pass with kylie doing different things and having more and more people added in the background each time. Then they just digitally overlayed each camera pass.

Saw a thing about it on tv the other night. Pretty nifty clip.

Not sure what software they used, but thats basically how they did it.

Tango was made in the late 70's or early 80's I believe, and it used the technique you described. A neat little film, won an Oscar in the short film category I believe.

Forgot one thing about the movie tango. I think the camera had to be locked off. Nowadays, the computerized several pass procedure is a step above.

I still like that Tango film however, it's a classic.

Yeah but thats kind of the easier part. How did they have her interact with environments that were filmed seperatly?
For example, Kylie number 1 drops a package. Kylie number 2 picks up the same package. How can one package exist between two separate pieces of footage.
Also, if each take was digitaly overlayed on top of one another, how can one person walk full circle around another image of themselves?
And the most impressive trick, I thought, was having one Kylie swing around a lamp post, another duck under her arm on one side, a third duck under her arm as she reaches the other side and a forth dodge behind the rest.

That would be called, too much time and too much money on their hands.
